Illustration Guide
An illustration is a scenario built on assumptions — not a forecast and not a promise. Learning what each part shows helps you ask better questions before you decide anything.

An illustration is a set of numbers generated from assumptions — crediting rates, charges, funding and timing. Change an assumption and the output changes. It is useful for understanding how a policy is designed to behave, but it is not a forecast and it does not promise results.
Death benefit. How much protection is shown, and whether it stays level or changes.
Premium schedule. What payments the scenario assumes.
Guaranteed vs. non-guaranteed columns. The guaranteed column uses contractual guaranteed crediting and charges for the stated premium schedule; check whether and when coverage ends under those assumptions. Non-guaranteed values use assumptions that can change and are not promises.
Cash value vs. surrender value. They are not the same — surrender value reflects what you would receive, and surrender charges may apply.
Policy charges. What is deducted, and how those charges affect value over the projected duration.
This page does not promise income, returns or tax outcomes. Whether any feature is available at all depends on your policy and its terms — and questions about taxes belong with a qualified tax professional.
